In order to operate the Site, we may collect “contact information” (i.e., information that could be used to contact you such as full name, postal address, phone number and email address as well as Automatic Information and your IP address), “financial information” (e.g., credit and debit card numbers) and “demographic information” (e.g., zip code, postal code, hometown, purchase history information, age, and gender, as well as IP addresses that are not unique to your computer) from you. As used herein, “Automatic Information” is information collected by our computers when you request web pages or ads from the Site. Please note that nowhere on the Site does Ruby Tree knowingly collect contact information or financial information from children under the age of 13. Ruby Tree uses contact information to help Ruby Tree efficiently perform transactions, to deliver the services you have requested, and to perform quality assurance, sales analyses and other business analyses. Ruby Tree may also generate non-identifying and aggregate profiles from information gathered on the Site. Ruby Tree may use this aggregated and non-identifying information to sell advertisements that appear on the Site. Ruby Tree does not share specific contact information with advertisers.
Ruby Tree may disclose specific contact information for any reason if, in the sole discretion of Ruby Tree, Ruby Tree determines that it is reasonable to do so, including, but not limited to: if Ruby Tree determines that such disclosure is necessary to comply with law, to cooperate with or seek assistance from law enforcement or to protect the interests or safety of Ruby Tree or other visitors to the Site or users of services or products provided by Ruby Tree. Also, your contact information may be passed on to a third party in the event of a transfer of ownership or assets, or a bankruptcy, of Ruby Tree.
The Site incorporates reasonable safeguards to protect the security, integrity, completeness, accuracy and privacy of the information that Ruby Tree may collect and Ruby Tree has put into place reasonable precautions to protect such information from loss, misuse and alteration. While Ruby Tree makes every effort to ensure the integrity and security of its network and systems, Ruby Tree cannot guarantee that its security measures will prevent third-party “hackers” from illegally obtaining this information.
